Santa Clara
Cuba
Santa Clara, a city in central Cuba and capital of Villa Clara province, is best known as the site of the decisive 1958 battle that secured the Cuban Revolution — and as the resting place of Ernesto "Che" Guevara and his fellow combatants. The walkable centre has a real café and restaurant scene alongside a concentration of historic churches, and the city sits close to mountains with scenic viewpoints in the surrounding countryside.
