San Juan de Rioseco

This small coffee-growing town in Cundinamarca, Colombia, San Juan de Rioseco sits high on the western slope of the eastern cordillera, where traditional shade-grown coffee is still processed on pocket-sized farms and spread to dry in a plaza near the town centre. On clear days, four snow-capped volcanic peaks of the central cordillera are visible to the west. The central plaza, anchored by a twin-towered Catholic church, fills with street vendors and café tables in the evenings.
