Samfya
Zambia
Samfya sits on the longest well-defined stretch of Lake Bangweulu's shore in Zambia's Luapula Province, giving the town access to white sandy beaches used for swimming and recreation — though crocodiles are present in the lake. It serves as a departure point for boat transport to islands and other parts of the lake, and hosts the Kwanga Festival of the Ngumbo people each October. Guesthouses, fishing activity, and local markets round out what the town offers.
