This pocket-sized seaport and resort on the south bank of the Somme estuary, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme has medieval ramparts, a Gothic church, and a long waterside boardwalk. One of three ports in the Baie de Somme, it has been part of the Baie de Somme – Picardie maritime regional nature park since 2020 and holds a Pays d'art et d'histoire heritage label.
