Risoul

This ski village in the French Alps between Briançon and Gap, Risoul pairs with neighbouring Vars to form the Forêt Blanche resort, offering a large network of connected slopes across two national parks — Queyras and Écrins. The resort station, known as Risoul 1850, sits high above the original village. Relatively remote by Alpine standards, it tends to be one of the more affordable winter sports options in the region, with a café and restaurant scene that is well stocked for its size.
