Ranua
Finland
Ranua Wildlife Park, the second northernmost zoo in the world, draws well over 100,000 visitors a year to this little municipality in southern Finnish Lapland, south of Rovaniemi. The park is frequently included in travel packages built around the Santa Claus attractions in Rovaniemi. The wider municipality sits along the upper and middle reaches of the Simo River, with forestry long central to local life.
