Pu'er City
Yunnan Province · China
Pu'er, a large city in southern Yunnan Province, China, is the source of Pu'er tea — a dark, aged tea that has shaped the region's economy and identity for centuries. The Lancang River runs through the city from north to south, and the surrounding highlands are home to a majority ethnic minority population across more than a dozen groups. The area also produces a range of traditional medicinal herbs alongside its famous tea.
