Ponteareas

Ponteareas is a Galician town on the river Tea known for its Corpus Christi celebrations, in which residents hand-craft elaborate floral carpets across the streets — a festival declared of International Tourist Interest in 2009. The town sits in a wine-producing region, with vineyards in the surrounding hills alongside grain and fruit farms, and the ruins of the medieval Sobroso Castle nearby. The centre has a walkable café and restaurant scene.
