The highest village in the Madonie mountains and named "Borgo dei Borghi" (village of villages) in 2018, Petralia Soprana sits within the Madonie Park in Sicily's Palermo province, with scenic views across the surrounding highlands. It carries an unusual concentration of churches for its size, a small but real café and restaurant scene, and membership in the I Borghi più belli d'Italia network of Italy's most beautiful villages.
