Petite-Ile

Réunion

Small coastal commune on the French island of Réunion, Petite-Île sits between Saint-Joseph and Saint-Pierre in mountain terrain with the sea within walking distance. Its name comes from the vegetated islet just off its coast — the only such islet near Réunion — and its little central core has cafés and restaurants. The commune was established in 1935.
