Sitting on the eastern shore of Basse-Terre in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe, Petit-Bourg offers direct access to both the coast and the mountains of the National Park of Guadeloupe. The town is home to two waterfalls — the Cascade aux écrevisses and the Saut de la Lézarde — as well as a cassava factory, the Kassaverie, in the town centre.
