Brazil Pelotas

Pelotas

Pelotas · Brazil

Known as the National Capital of Sweets, Pelotas is a city in southern Rio Grande do Sul sitting on the western shore of the Lagoa dos Patos, with a dense café and restaurant scene that reflects both its sweet-making tradition and its large university population. In the 19th century the city was Brazil's leading centre for dried meat production, and European-style architecture from that era still lines the centre.
