Patitiri

Μαγνησία, Σποράδες · Greece

The capital and harbour of Alonnisos in the Sporades archipelago, Patitiri sits at the water's edge in the southern part of the island, with a café and restaurant scene that outpunches its village size. Its name derives from the grape-pressing vats once central to island life, where must was produced for winemaking. Much of the settlement was rebuilt after an earthquake in March 1965.
