Nyon

Switzerland

This lakeside town on the western shore of Lake Geneva, Nyon sits in the heart of Swiss wine country with a walkable centre, a solid food-and-drink scene, and views across the water toward the Alps. Founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC as Noviodunum, it retains a Roman museum and ruins alongside its older architecture. The town is also the global headquarters of UEFA, the governing body of European football.
