Noyers

Well-preserved medieval village on the river Serein in Burgundy's Yonne department, Noyers-sur-Serein is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, with half-timbered houses, cobbled lanes, and towers looped by the river giving it a strong visual character. The pedestrianised centre hosts art galleries, a pottery, and a museum, while two truffle fairs each November draw buyers from across France.
