A compact waterfront town on the island of Als in southern Denmark, Nordborg has a compact centre with cafés and restaurants and sits close to the water's edge. The town is home to Nordborg Castle, whose historic premises now serve as a boarding school, and is the global headquarters of Danfoss, the refrigeration and heating components company founded here in 1933.
