Nerezine

Croatia

This little fishing village on the Croatian island of Lošinj, Nerezine sits at the water's edge in mountain terrain, with vineyards nearby and several historic churches and houses for a settlement this size. First recorded in the 14th century, it hosts the Nerezine Regatta of traditional sailing boats, a tradition dating to 1920, and the Nerezine Summer Games. A UNESCO World Heritage site lies within the wider region.
