Ndola
Zambia
Ndola is the industrial and commercial hub of Zambia's Copperbelt, a large city in the north of the country close to the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Built on copper mining, it powered the Zambian economy until a price crash in the 1970s; the industry has since recovered, alongside limestone extraction. Home to Zambia's first modern stadium, the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, it serves as the capital of Copperbelt Province.
