This little Swedish village on the Ångerman River, in Sollefteå Municipality, sits close to Nämforsen, where around 2,300 rock carvings are concentrated along the riverbank — one of the largest collections of prehistoric petroglyphs in the country. Mountains rise nearby, and the area around the village holds numerous ancient remains beyond the carvings themselves.
