This town in north-central Poland on the river Noteć, Nakło nad Notecią was granted royal town status in 1299 and sits in the ethnocultural region of Krajna. The Noteć runs directly through the town, making the waterfront a natural focus for visitors. It serves as the seat of Nakło County in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
