Myeik
Myanmar (Burma)
Coastal city in Myanmar's far south with a walkable centre full of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches, Myeik sits on the Andaman Sea and is shielded to the west by an archipelago of over 800 islands. The largest city in Tanintharyi Region, it serves as a fishing port and regional commercial hub, with rubber and oil palm cultivation in the surrounding tropical hinterland. The inland area toward Thailand is a known smuggling corridor, with a cross-border checkpoint at the Singkhon Pass.
