Mutters
Austria
A pocket-sized Tyrolean village on a mid-elevation terrace at the entrance to the Stubaital valley, just south of Innsbruck, with mountain terrain, scenic surroundings, and a cable car — the Muttereralmbahn — rising from the village itself. First documented in 1100, Mutters has been connected to Innsbruck by the Stubaitalbahn tram line since 1904, making it an easy base for exploring the wider region.
