Mörön

Mongolia

Mörön is the provincial capital of Khövsgöl aimag in northern Mongolia, sitting alongside the Delger River with mountains visible from town and a UNESCO World Heritage site in the wider region. As one of Mongolia's larger provincial centres, it serves as the main gateway for travellers heading into the Khövsgöl area, with a hospital, museum, theatre, and schools giving it more infrastructure than most towns of its size in the country.
