Moroleón, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, is one of Mexico's leading textile cities, with clothing stores lining its streets and drawing shoppers from across the region. It forms a metropolitan area with neighbouring Uriangato and holds annual festivals on 16 January and 16 September, marking Catholic Church history and Mexican independence respectively.
