Little beach village on the southern tip of Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula with a café and restaurant scene well beyond its size, Montezuma draws visitors to its beaches, rivers, and nearby waterfalls. The Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve lies close by. Once a remote fishing settlement, the village has been a destination for budget travellers and eco-tourists since the 1980s.
