Set on a Mediterranean headland known as The Rock, Monaco-Ville is the historic core of the Principality of Monaco — a compact, photogenic village dense with cafés, churches, and the country's principal institutions, including the Prince's Palace, the National Council, and the town hall. The surrounding waters and the elevated position above the sea make it one of the more visually striking spots in the principality.
