Mir
Belarus
Mir Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Ilyinich and Radziwill families, is the defining feature of this pocket-sized Belarusian settlement in Grodno Region, a short drive southwest of Minsk. The village sits on the Miranka River and draws independent travellers primarily for the castle, one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in Belarus.
