This town at the confluence of the Tarn and Dourbie rivers in Aveyron, Millau is best known for its Viaduct and a walkable centre with a dense food-and-drink scene. The surrounding Causses landscape, part of the Causses and Cévennes UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, is associated with pastoral traditions and cheese production, including Roquefort, while the nearby Gorges du Tarn add to the area's natural appeal. The town has historically been a centre of glove-making.
