Meiktila
Myanmar (Burma)
This central Myanmar city on the banks of Meiktila Lake, with a concentration of historic churches and easy access to the water's edge. Its position at the junction of several major highways — connecting Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, and Taunggyi — makes it a natural stopping point in the region, and the Myanmar Air Force's central command and aerospace engineering university give it a distinct institutional character.
