A little town in eastern Libya, a short distance west of Al Bayda, Massah holds the Ain al-Saqr Heritage Society, which houses a collection of historical artefacts. Farmland surrounds the town, and the wider region includes a UNESCO World Heritage site. During the Italian colonial period the town was known as Luigi Razza, after an Italian minister of that name.
