A tiny coastal village in East Gippsland, Victoria, where the Snowy River meets the Southern Ocean, with scenic views across the water and mountains visible in the distance. The name Marlo is generally traced to Aboriginal language — "Marloo" meaning white clay, a reference to the nearby Marlo Bluff, or "Murloo" meaning muddy banks, as the local Indigenous people reportedly described the area.
