Loyada
Djibouti
Loyada is a small village in Djibouti's Arta region that sits on the water at the border between Djibouti and the Somali region of Awdal (Somaliland), with mountains close by. The village is historically associated with a 1976 hostage crisis in which Somali independence fighters seized a French school bus at this frontier crossing.
