A county-level city in Jilin Province sitting directly on the Yalu River, Linjiang borders North Korea and has a border crossing and bridge connecting the two countries. Mountains rise close to the city, and the riverside setting defines its character. It lies east of Tonghua in the Baishan administrative area.
