County-level city on the banks of the Lin River in eastern Zhejiang province, Linhai is one of China's designated National Historic and Cultural Cities. Its Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus serves as the episcopal see of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Linhai, and the city sits within sight of mountains while facing the East China Sea.
