Liminka

Founded in 1477 on the Liminganjoki river, Liminka is a tiny municipality in Finland's Northern Ostrobothnia region, a short drive south of Oulu. The Liminganlahti Bay, on its western edge, serves as a notable bird sanctuary, making it a draw for wildlife watchers. The municipality has one of Finland's youngest populations by average age, with a high proportion of residents under fifteen.
