Libby
Lincoln County · United States
Kootenai Falls, a natural feature on the edge of this small northwestern Montana city, has drawn film crews for productions including *The River Wild* (1994) and *The Revenant* (2015), and remains a draw for visitors to the area. Libby also carries a significant environmental history: contamination from nearby vermiculite mines led to EPA National Priorities List status in 2002 and a Public Health Emergency declaration in 2009, with most risk reduced by 2015.
