Lafia is the capital of Nasarawa State in north-central Nigeria and a significant agricultural trading hub, known for sesame seeds, soybeans, yams, sorghum, millet, and cotton. The city also serves as the seat of the Lafia Emirate Council. Mountains are visible from the city, and water is within walking distance of the centre.
