Lac-au-Saumon
Lac-au-Saumon · Canada
A small village in Quebec's Matapédia Valley, Lac-au-Saumon sits on the shores of the lake that shares its name — an expansion of the Matapédia River. The lake was historically a salmon spawning ground, though mill pollution ended that era. The village remains a waterside stop in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region for those passing through the valley.
