La Pedrera
Uruguay
Pocket-sized Atlantic resort village on Uruguay's Rocha coast, La Pedrera takes its name from the rocky formations along its beaches and sits near the Valle de la Luna, a stretch of unusual coastal terrain extending toward Santa Isabel de la Pedrera. Tiny year-round, it swells considerably in summer. A short drive northeast of La Paloma along Route 10, it lies roughly a few hours east of Montevideo.
