La Macaza

Compact municipality in Quebec's Laurentian Mountains with lakes, beaches, and direct water access throughout. The 1904 covered bridge over the Macaza River draws international visitors, and the area is served by La Macaza – Mont Tremblant International Airport. The name Macaza is said to derive from a local Indigenous chief who camped on the shores of Lake Macaza.
