Kokemäki
Finland
A little town in Finland's Satakunta region, Kokemäki sits along the Kokemäki River, one of the country's largest river systems, and holds Iron Age and medieval remains that made it a historically significant centre in the region. According to local legend, the ancient Iron Age settlement of Teljä once stood where St. Henry's Chapel now stands. The town also hosts a hydroelectric power station and has been announced as the future site of a nickel hydroxide plant.
