Kintamani
Indonesia
Sitting on the western rim of the Mount Batur caldera in Bali, Kintamani is a tiny stopping point with direct views over the volcano and Lake Batur below. The area is home to the Bali Aga, Bali's indigenous people, and holds Pura Tuluk Biyu's ancient "Rites of Peace" stone tablets, said to be around a thousand years old. The district is also the origin of the Kintamani dog breed.
