Kemer

This Mediterranean resort town on the Turkish Riviera where the western Taurus Mountains meet a long stretch of coastline, Kemer sits a short drive southwest of Antalya. Pine forests reach down to the beaches, a marina accommodates several hundred yachts, and the surrounding district includes the ancient sites of Phaselis and Olympos. Until the early 1980s the area was a quiet rural backwater; today it is one of Turkey's major coastal tourism centres, with a walkable town centre and a dense food-and-drink scene.
