Kawambwa

Zambia

A plateau town in Zambia's Luapula Province, Kawambwa sits within reach of three waterfalls — Lumangwe, Kabwelume on the Kalungwishi River, and Ntumbachushi on the Ngona River — making it a practical base for exploring the region's river scenery. The town also lies close to Zambia's largest tea plantation, on the road toward Mporokoso. Elevated above the hotter Luapula valley, it serves as the administrative centre for its district and sits at a junction of tarred roads connecting several provincial towns.
