This stopover town on the Steung Saen River in central Cambodia, roughly halfway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, with a compact centre of cafés and restaurants around the main street. A roundabout featuring a statue of an elephant fighting two tigers is one of its landmarks, and a Floating Pagoda lies a short distance from town. The wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites within reach.
