Kagoro
Nigeria
A highland town in southern Kaduna State, Kagoro — also known as Gworok — draws visitors for its mountainous scenery and the Afan Festival, a national cultural celebration held annually on 1 January. The town's relatively high elevation brings notably cool weather, and it has long attracted missionaries for that reason. Nearby water and mountain access add to its appeal as a base for exploring the Middle Belt region.
