Kırklareli

The provincial capital of Kırklareli sits in Eastern Thrace, close to the Bulgarian border in the European part of Turkey, with a walkable centre well supplied with cafés, restaurants, and historic churches. The city has roots stretching back to the Neolithic period and passed through Thracian, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman hands before its final incorporation into the Turkish Republic in 1922.
