This coastal city on the northern shore of Jeju Island, South Korea, with a dense café and restaurant scene, scenic viewpoints in the surrounding landscape, and easy access to the island's UNESCO World Heritage sites. The provincial capital and largest city on the island, it handles an extraordinary volume of air traffic — the Seoul–Jeju route has ranked among the world's busiest — and draws visitors year-round thanks to the island's mild climate.
