This tiny town on the Ivalo River serves as the administrative centre for Inari, Finland's largest municipality by area, deep in Finnish Lapland above the Arctic Circle. A compact central core offers cafés and restaurants, and the town has its own airport. The Saariselkä resort is a short drive south, and Lake Inari lies just to the north, making Ivalo a practical base for exploring the surrounding Arctic landscape.
