Humahuaca
Humahuaca · Argentina
Humahuaca sits in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage valley of dramatically coloured mountains in the high Andes of Jujuy province, Argentina. The town's narrow cobblestone streets and low adobe houses preserve a colonial character dating to its days as a major trading post on the route to Alto Perú. A clock tower on the main square features a figure of Saint Francisco Solano that emerges at noon to make the sign of the cross.
